Are you making plans to go to SAS Global Forum 2015 (SASGF15)? If so, join us for a boot-scootin time at the #SASGF15 #TweetUp on Saturday, April 25 in Dallas! For the last few years we’ve found it to be a great way for SAS users to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, participate (or observe) a networking game, and have some pre-conference chatter. Being a TweetUp we also hope to provide twitter guidance for those new to the social network, and encourage twitter chatter amongst #sasusers at the conference and around the globe. Of course, for those who are unable to physically join the #SASGF15 #TweetUp, you can always join us on Twitter!
Tweet Up details
Join us on Saturday evening in the Lobby Lounge bar to meet your followers face-to-face for some Twitter chatter in more than 140 characters. To entice you, we’ll have some random draw prizes and SAS giveaways. Why not also share conference agendas and must see places in Dallas. Hopefully we might also see a few SAS rock stars?
What if you’re not on Twitter? Did you know it’s free to join? And with many friendly tweeps around, we’ll help you start your twitter journey [For a head start, here’s a Twitter Getting Started Guide!]
We hope to see you there and if you plan to join us, please comment below or tweet (using #SASGF15 #TweetUp)!

Flying into Dallas on Saturday, landing around 2128. What time are you likely to finish? Hope I’m not too late for a Tweetup beer, but I’ll be there in spirit! @hollandnumerics
I’m sure we will be going for a while. If you aren’t too tired and want to join us, send us a tweet. Look forward to seeing you Phil…
Looking forward to joining #SASGF15 #TweetUp again. Disclosure: I have bought a few Twitter shares. May be I will get my short cut cowboy boots cleaned up a bit. Boot-scootin may be possible. I wonder where I am going to get a cowboy hat? I have purple Native hat from a Pow Wow. Our Air Canada planes arrive in the late afternoon. Another disclosure, nothing is booked yet.
Glad to hear you look forward to it Peter! Bring your purple Native hat and clean up your boots… look forward to a bit of boot-scootin’… Ooohhh you’ve given me an idea – we’ll offer another draw ticket to those who boot-scoot for a minute! ;-) P.S. Your shareholder disclosure – A vested interest in Twitter?
I will have to be there in spirit this year. I’ll put on my Texas cowboy boots and follow along on Twitter. Have fun everyone!.
Oh what a shame Renee… We look forward to your boot-scootin Tweets! You’ll have to send us a pic, wearing some SAS flair :-)
And for those that would like to join us, and feel apprehensive at the prospect of being social, we understand… Check out the video in the blog post http://www.entrepreneur.com/video/234677 and Tricia and I will be your “connector”… Reach out to us via Twitter (or email) so we can help you prepare for the event.
I’ll be moseying into town on Saturday just for the roundup – I mean #TweetUp :-)
Looks like you’re ready for some SAS Rustlin’ @SASJedi! :-) – https://twitter.com/SASJedi/status/572395053735391232 See you soon…
Hi Michelle & Trish – I’ll see you at the TweetUp, but not sure what state (pun!) I’ll be in – I’m staying in Melbourne for ANZAC Day Centenary dawn service Saturday morning, then I leave Sydney 1pm Saturday and fly 16 hours straight to Dallas arriving at 1pm Saturday. May need a drink or two to help recover from the jet lag..
Great to hear you plan to make it again! Your travel itinerary sounds a bit like our one. Qantas, QF7 Sydney to Dallas is a nice hop over the Pacific…
Maybe we should wear Akubra’s? ;-) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akubra
Thanks @SASJedi, @ptimusk and @aanderud for sharing your #SASGF15 #TweetUp enthusiasm! And another from @ptimusk
Tweet your “Wild West” inspired photo, tagging #SASGF15 #TweetUp
Michelle, Akubra’s may not be a bad idea – I don’t know how us Aussies would look in 10 gallon hats!! (I’m actually disappearing on a one-man Texas – Colorado road-trip & state park hike straight after SGF, so I’ll probably need a decent hat..)
@Andrew – I suspect you would look VERY tall wearing a 10 gallon hat. Me, on the other hand, may gain some much needed height ;-)
Akubra sounds like it might be in order for your hike, or perhaps a cork hat?!?
Thanks Tom Kari for sharing your preparations for the #SASGF15 #TweetUp. Awesome to see your first tweet is about the event! See the tweet at @Canadian_Tom
Great to hear you plan to join us Chris Hemedinger. Love your scribbly hat! See @cjdinger‘s tweet.
Scary! David Moors warns Tricia to not forget to take the loot to #SASGF15 #TweetUp. See @moorsd‘s tweet.
I wonder who these @SASSoftware staff bandits are getting ready for #SASGF15 #TweetUp? Will you join them? Tweet your pic!
